Why my car will always be in God’s hand!

By Chris Einwechter in : Blog posts // Mar 4 2014

I always enjoy trusting the Lord for things.

From bigs things to little ones, like a parking spot in Ocean City during the summer.

One time I prayed for a parking spot on a crazy jam packed day. And I landed one of the sweetest spots in OC!

But when I went back to leave I discovered I was completely blocked in by other cars.

And I just prayed and …..!

OK I didn’t pray, but I did worry. And what happens when we worry?

Instead of peace be still, it’s peace be gone!

Yes we lose our peace when we worry.

As I was in the worry mode a family walked up, jumps into the car that was blocking me and drove off.

Ok what was that I worried about again? Oh yea the car that just drove off!

Worry happens all the time when we forget one thing, who’s in control.

That’s why my car, my home, my kids, my wife and yes my entire life will always be in God’s mighty hand, because He’ll always be in control!

(Note to self remember who’s truly in control)

But my peace? Well that all depends on one thing one as well, where I place my thoughts.

A mind fixed on God, instead of problems, trusts the Lord and that always equals peace. Always!

And the real secret to becoming unshakable is found in this promise,

You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

When you trust the Lord your mind will be on Him,

and God says if you do that I’ll keep you in perfect peace!

Be blessed!

How a cup of joe hindered my prayers!

By Chris Einwechter in : Blog posts // Feb 6 2014

prayer photo #1

25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Mark 11:25 (NIV)

Tough pill to swallow, believe me I know.

Recently I had coffee with a former co worker.

We talked about all the years we worked together and all the good bosses we had. But he also mentioned one former boss who treated him like dirt.

Turns out this same person didn’t seem to like me or some other co workers to much either!

We both thought, “Man what a jerk …” And you know what? He was a jerk!

I woke up the next day, started to pray and thought, “I need to get this right.”

And I remembered this promise, “If I hold anything against anyone.”

“Anything against anyone.”

Then I won’t be forgiven, (Yes it’s a promise) and my prayers won’t get off the ground, much less reach heaven!

So I got that old nasty, prayer destroying, prayer hindering un-forgiveness out of my body.

Ah now I’m ready to pray with some power!

Un-forgiveness, it’s a “For Real, Alive and Well” prayer killer and a secret sweetie for Satan!

Don’t let it hinder you any longer!

Who are you holding something against right now?

Let it go with the help and power of the Holy Spirit!

Be blessed,
