Yes, sometimes you have to pray before you pray! Scripture tells us that if we pray in line with God’s will He will hear us! In other words He will support us, and that’s powerful!
However, how do we discover just what God’s will is? That’s exactly what we’re talking about in this weeks broadcast, be blessed as you listen! I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds. (Psalm 9:1 New International Version) We hope you have a truly blessed thanksgiving! Sincerely, Chris and Lori Einwechter God Taught Me Ministries Also, Here's this week's Worry Less Pray More radio broadcast called, "The power of Thanksgiving!" When it comes to motocross racing one thing is for sure, everybody wants to win! Canyon has done that over and over again. He's even won the coveted, "LORETTA LYNN'S AMA AMATEUR NATIONAL MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP."
When it comes to their success, Guy, Canyon's dad, often looks back on one major decision Canyon made. They were sent a race bike that was fast, real fast! However, Guy noticed something about the bike; it was modified. Meaning it was tweaked and that made it faster, but the rules say you can't race a modified bike, although many people do. In other words they cheat hoping they never get caught or questioned. Now, a decision had to be made; what were they going to do with this fast bike? Guy explained all this to Canyon in real simple terms. Guy said, "Which bike do you want to race? The one that is fast, and you'll probably win on. Or the bike that pleases Jesus, the other bike." Canyon had to make the choice, and he elected to ride the slower bike, because he knew it was right, and that it would please Jesus. Have you ever been challenged like that? Most of us will never be challenged to ride a faster bike in a National motocross event, but you can bet we will be challenged elsewhere. It could be in our marriages, with our jobs, maybe with our taxes, or maybe receiving too much change at the store, and then literally keeping the change. I don't know for sure, but I do know we will be tempted to turn our backs on the Lord from time to time. The Richards were challenged with riding a bike that was fast, but not legal. They made the right choice and years later Canyon has risen to one of the top riders in our Nation. I'd have to agree with Guy, I think it's a direct result of a choice they made. A choice to put God first! Easy? No. Rewarding? Yes! Popular? No. Powerful? Yes! For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.... 2 Chronicles 16:9 New King James Version Stay strong, put God first, and you'll be blessed in the end!
