Someone recently told me how they were experiencing a problem with their I Phone not charging, and talked with an Apple employee inside the store about fixing it. The employee explained how they had to blow some air with a machine in the area where the charger goes into the phone.
"I could do that." This person thought and then asked the employee if they should just blow it out themselves. The employee then said, "Give it to me, because if you do it and something happens you're responsible. If we do it and something happens then we're responsible." It's kind of the same thing when we choose to pray about something, because the truth is you don't have to pray about it. You don't have to give it to God. To be honest most of the time we try to do things on our own, but is that really the best thing to do? No, because that's how worry creeps into our lives. Think about it, we try to do things on our own, which causes us to carry that burden. We become the one responsible for the outcome, and it stresses us out in the process. I don't know about you, but I've wasted countless hours worrying about things, and I refuse to do it anymore. There is a better way and it's to pray about it. Sounds really simple right, but do you know that most folks I talk to don't pray about their heavy burdens? In other words, most of us muscle our way through life, or any situation for that matter, and that allows worry, stress, anger and a whole host of other nasty things to come into our lives. What else can we do? Of course, pray about it, but that's not all. We need to learn how to release our burdens onto the Lord, or cast them as scripture says. Years ago I was going through a really hard time and trying to handle some things on my own, then I came across this verse, Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22 New King James Version) I remember seeing that verse in the Bible and couldn't believe it was really in the Bible! It was just a huge revelation to me when I realized that God literally wants my burdens! He wants to hear about my struggles, my troubles, and all those things that tend to keep me up at night. God is basically saying, "Give it to Me. Tell Me about it, talk to Me about it, cry to Me about it, shout to Me about it, and when you're all done give it to Me! And I promise I'll work it out for you!" Worry is such a waste of time, so today why not practice casting your burdens onto the Lord by praying about it and then releasing them. Think, "Pray and Release!" So, share your heart and then release it to Him. After that don't let it bother you anymore! Be blessed, Chris Einwechter GodTaughtMe.com .

Great message. Lord I ask you to put the financial blessings before me and keep me in your heart. In Jesus name I pray, for I know that all things are possible thru Christ.

Thanks for your insights! I used to worry about everything, and you are so right, it was ALWAYS because I tried to manage HOW it would come to pass. Howver, in the last few years through intense study on prayer (thanks in part to you), I have realized that my concern is not the HOW, but my concern is bringing it to God in prayer...the HOW is his job. What a relief that is, and such a PEACE washes over me!! Then, I can truly give ALL the glory to him!!

Thank you for the reminder! I so often forget to take it to God first. It's just natural to worry first and try to figure out how we are going to fix it!

Lisa, you're so right taking our burdens to the Lord is simply not natural, but when we do it sure is powerful!

Please pray for 9 year old Norah, who is experiencing severe pain all over her body. Asking for supernatural healing and direction. Her mom is Theresa Daly who attempted Trinity Baptist and then moved to Maryland. She is up here seeing a few different doctors. Chris, maybe you remember her, her brother sang at trinity and he was an Ametican Idol finalist . Thank you
