I always thought God was out to judge me. Have you ever felt that way? My view of Christmas was so blurred back then. However, here's what scripture says why Jesus truly came to earth, For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:17 (New International Version) You see, God sent His son not to judge or condemn the world, but to save it. The truth is if God were out to condemn us He's be wasting His time. Why? Because we're already condemned, thanks to Adam and Eve. Yup, we've all sinned and broken God's laws somewhere, somehow. And for that we're condemned, but God is not about to leave us there without a fight! He sent His Son! Born of a virgin, so He wouldn't inherit that same sinful nature we inherited from Adam and Eve. Then He took His Son, and basically put Him in a boxing ring with Satan for forty days. During that time the devil threw everything he had at Jesus in an all out attempt to get Jesus to sin. However, Jesus remained sinless and then went on to die a sinless death for us. Now, anyone that calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved, and not condemned! In other words anyone that says something like, "Lord, please forgive me for my sins and come into my heart to become my Lord and Savior." Shall be saved from any and all condemnation! And that's what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown! Have a truly blessed Christmas this year! Chris and Lori Einwechter God Taught Me Ministries GodTaughtMe.com
